Come and join us
The first Wednesday of every month
Jesus demonstrated to His disciples a close relationship to the Heavenly Father, withdrawing frequently to a place of prayer, where He found strength, direction and renewal. He taught His followers to pray, and we as His followers seek to discipline ourselves in prayer.
Although issues of personal health, wellbeing and daily life are legitimate objects of prayer, our communication with Jesus and the Father is richest when balanced with gratitude, praise, worship, and a genuine search for divine direction and God’s will in our lives.
From the apostle Paul we have this guidance:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 6 & 7 (NIV)
Whether or not you are now part of our congregation at Lakefield Baptist Church, your specific prayer requests can be shared with a network of our praying people by sending an email to email@example.com We seek to rejoice with one another, and to bear one another’s burdens.
